The 2018 Spartan Kids Race kicked off in Beijing yesterday. Over 2,500 kids participated in the race.
The Spartan Race is an obstacle course race based on the Spartan military training. Each year, more than 200 Spartan races are held in 35 countries and regions around the world. The Spartan Race was introduced to China by SECA in 2016 and the Spartan Kids was first held last year. The Spartan Kids Race is designed specifically for children between 4 to 14 years old. The design of the track is challenging and fun; obstacles of hauling, throwing, and mud ponds are all "miniature versions" of the adult race.
Compared to last year, the Spartan Kids Race has improved in various aspects this year. Race routes with different distances and obstacles for "Little Warriors" were set up for three different age groups. All young players utilized chip timing and got to know their race time instantly. Kids who complete the race also got a kit that included T-shirt, medal and supplies.
